Meeting Schedule

Our next Executive Board Meeting will be held on Monday, January 12, 2009, at the Local 122 office beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Our next Membership Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Firefighter's Hall.  Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m.  The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Contract Negotiations

Our third contract negotiations session was held on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at the Human Resources Conference Room at City Hall.

The City submitted a proposed Memorandum Of Agreement (MOA) concerning Plan E Sellback provisions for FY2007-2008.

The City submitted a revised proposal for Article 19.

After considerable discussion, the parties agreed to a Revised MOA concerning Plan E Sellback provisions for FY2007-2008.

The parties agreed to a verbal proposal from the Local to change Article 12.2 as follows:

Any employee performing the duties of any classification above his/her permanent classification and assigned to that higher classification for one hour or more by the Fire and Rescue Department shall receive pay at the rate of that higher classification upon the completion of six (6) hours of continuous duty for the time worked in that higher classification. The Senior Lieutenant of a company shall not be deemed to have worked above his/her classification until the company Captain has been absent three (3) consecutive tours of duty.

The date for our next meeting will be announced in the near future.

As of October 14, 2008:

1.  The Local has submitted proposals for Articles 11, 12, and 14.

2.  The City has submitted proposals for Articles 12 (partial) and 19.

3.  The following articles have been Temporarily Approved (TA) with changes:

4.  The following articles have been Temporarily Approved (TA) with no changes:

Preamble, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 22, and 26.
